General Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Chambres d´hôtes Danou (hereafter referred to as Danou). On this page you can find our terms & conditions, which apply when making a booking at Danou.

Main booker
The person who made the booking at Danou online, via e-mail or by phone. The main booker is 18 years or older and is responsible for his or her accompanying guests. The main booker should be able to identify his or herself during the stay

Property manager
The person acting as the owner of Danou or acting on behalf of the owner(s).

Third parties
Every other rightful person that is not a guest, property manager or owner.

Cancellation
Bookings can be cancelled within the mentioned terms, which can be found under cancellation policy. You are responsible for a cancellation/travel insurance.

Stay
The period between check-in and check-out.

These websites are assembled with great care. There can be differences on the website, with regards to the presented text and pictures, and the actual situation at Danou at the time of your visit.  You cannot derive any rights from these differences.

Rooms
All rooms are suitable for two persons and feature a private bathroom, including towels and amenities. Pets are initially not allowed because of hygiene reasons, however exceptions can be made.
 
Check-in and check-out
On the day of check-in, you can expect your room to be ready from 15.00 onwards. On the check-out day, the room is available until 11.00 after which you are expected to check-out.

Breakfast and tables d’hôtes
Breakfast will be served between 08.00 and 10.30 in the communal living area of the Chambres ‘d hôtes or – if desired – in your room. When the weather allows it,  we offer the possibility to have breakfast in the garden. An earlier breakfast is also possible in consultation.

With a minimum of four times a week you can join us for dinner. You can make a reservation the night before or the same morning during breakfast. The payment will be settled upon departure.

Tariffs

The prices of the rooms, table d’hôtes and the honestybar are mentioned on www.danou.fr.

The room prices are including breakfast, use of towels and linen, water and electricity and excluding tourist tax of € 0,66 pppn. 

All prices on our website and the websites of third parties are provided in good faith and subject to interim adjustments. Chambres d’hôtes Danou is not liable for inaccuracies on third party websites.

Reservation and payments

You can make your reservation on www.danou.fr, via -email info@danou.fr or by phone T (0033) 3 24 276 016 or M (0031) 6 44672056.  After booking you will receive a confirmation. With the prepayment of 50% of the total amount your booking will be definite. If we have not received your prepayment within a week after your booking was made, we will cancel the booking. You will then receive a confirmation of this cancellation.  Any outstanding amount can be paid by cash or with card upon arrival.

Cancellation

Situations might arise where you – unfortunately – have to cancel your booking. Please reach out to us by phone or email as soon as possible.

We apply the following cancellation terms:

  • Free cancellation if you cancel no later than two weeks in advance; you receive a refund of the full amount
  • In case of cancellation in the last two weeks before your arrival until a day before; you need to pay 50% of the booking amount
  • In case of cancellation on the day of your arrival or during your stay (if you booked a multiple day stay) you need to pay the full amount

Cancellation due to COVID19
If you need to cancel your stay due to the travelling limitations related to COVID, you will get the full amount (or prepayment) refunded.

Complaints

At Danou, we do our utmost best to provide you with a fun and pleasant stay. Despite our good care you might still have a complaint or comment. We would appreciate to hear these as soon as possible so we can – hopefully – still solve the matter during your stay with us.

Liability

Danou cannot be held liable for any damages in the room caused by the guest or third parties. The guest indemnifies Danou.

Moreover, Danou is not liable for malfunctions in and around the accommodation. This also applies to malfunctions regarding electricity, internet, water supply and other technical installations.

Loss, theft and damage
Danou is not liable for loss, theft, damage or accidents caused to persons and / or goods during or as a result of the stay in the chambres d’hotes.

Diligence
The main booker is responsible for an orderly course of events in and around the room(s). We assume that you will take care of your and the rooms’ belongings and that the room(s) will be left tidy. This also applies to the use of items in the common areas. You can report breakage or damage to us. If after check out it appears that items are broken and this has not been reported, we may charge you repair and / or replacement costs.

Smoking

With regards to your own safety and those of your fellow guests it is forbidden to smoke inside our chambres d’hôtes. Smoking is only allowed in the garden.
